When Julia and Tyson adventured with me to the fresh backdrop of the Muttart Conservatory for their maternity photo shoot, they weren’t just escaping Edmonton’s frosty December. They were stepping into an inviting space where warmth envelops you, and greenery whispers tales of new life—much like the one they’re about to welcome into the world.


Maternity photo sessions can be intimidating. It’s a time when you might not quite feel like yourself. But here’s the thing—at Lewis Photography, my focus is on you. The real, beautiful you. It’s my goal to make you look and feel fantastic, and when those images finally land in your hands, they’re yours to adore and share. Trust me, the future you will be over the moon to have these memories.

Every time I see at this photo, it brings a smile to my face. The green of the background isn’t just a color; it’s a feeling. It’s the warmth that was in the air, a stark contrast to the nippy breeze outside. It’s the feeling of life, constantly renewing, much like the journey Julia and Tyson are embarking on. And with these two, their new addition is guaranteed a life filled with endless warmth and love.

I love Muttart Conservatory as a location, and it is now part of the Edmonton LRT system which makes it much more accessible. The four pyramids let in as much natural light as possible, which makes for stunning contrast and clear, bright scenes.
